Master craftsmen custom designed and built several unique elements throught this just-renovated home. Details like the weathered cherry mantel, craftsman-cut from an ancient storm-felled cherry tree. The master bath is huge with a hip, sophisticated feel. Crown moldings are featured throughout. Original hardwood floors on the upper level, refinished and glowing!
Kitchen features a full sized refrigerator and full sized freezer (DOUBLE the space of the standard fridge!) and plenty of storage/cabinet space, with walkout access to the stone patio. Back veranda area includes a large attached room (complete with electricity and a window) which can be used for storage, as a garden shed, or as a workshop. A spacious deck overlooks the stone veranda and large, terraced yard with lots of plantings and trees. This is a fantastic space to entertain, or just enjoy a lovely setting.
This is an apartment that was decluttered for better living. The renter was frustrated, and found herself avoiding her home because she did not enjoy being there. Using Guerilla Cleaningsm tactics, the space was given a clean, decluttered look. Afterwards, the furnishings and accessories in the home were rearranged, providing a sense of serenity.
We were working on visual material for a workshop presentation, and had asked the renter if she would be so kind as to NOT CLEAN for the entire week preceeding our decluttering. We asked, in fact, that she invest in as much messiness as she could tolerate. In three hours, the main living spaces of this apartment appeared clean and decluttered, using strategic cleaning tactics and staging techniques.

In the photograph above, we have stored papers and books in the shelf under the coffee table, and behind the antique mirror that leans against the console in the corner. These "hiding spots" give the renter a quick place to store things in a hurry.

I advised throughout the renovation process, shopped for flooring and paint colors, selected light fixtures, faucets, and bathroom amenities, etc...then staged the finished home! Though vacant, staging gives this home warmth and allows you to see the space in the context of living within it; you can mentally "move in" as you cross the threshold.
